- You are currently licensed to practice law before and in good standing with the highest court of Missouri or some other State or Territory, or before the District Court of the District of Columbia.
- Your primary employment is NOT with the government, a public interest agency or firm, or a non-profit corporation.
- You graduated more than 4 years ago.

Government/Public Interest/Non-profit 65.00 USD
Use this special membership category if you primarily work: (1) for the government; (2) in a public-interest capacity; or (3) for a non-profit corporation. Other requirements include:
- You must be currently licensed to practice law before and in good standing with the highest court of Missouri or some other State or Territory, or before the District Court of the District of Columbia.
- You must have graduated more than 4 years ago.

You are eligible for Young Attorney status if:
- You are currently licensed to practice law before and in good standing with the highest court of Missouri or some other State or Territory, or before the District Court of the District of Columbia.
- You graduated LESS than 4 years ago.

You are eligible for Law Student status if:
- You are a candidate for a juris doctorate degree from an institution accredited by the American Bar Association.

Friend of the Association (non-attorney) 35.00 USD
If you are not an attorney, please use this special membership category, which allows you to show your support and become involved in the mission of the HBAstl. To be eligible as a Friend of the Association, you must:
- Not be currently licensed to practice law before and in good standing with the highest court of Missouri or some other State or Territory, or before the District Court of the District of Columbia;
- Not be a graduate with a juris doctorate degree, or candidate therefor, from an institution accredited by the American Bar Association;
- Not be otherwise eligible for membership in the HBAstl under any of the membership categories noted above.
